Piano Accompaniment

The Conservatoire offers Masters courses in piano accompaniment.
The course lasts two years.

This course allows students to focus on their main discipline, while gaining comprehensive training in artistic, practical and theoretical skills.
The training includes subjects such as foreign language classes, reading and sight-reading, practical harmony, introduction to singing and choir conducting.
The training also includes an introduction to historical instruments (pianoforte, basso-continuo for harpsichord).
At the end of the course, the student will have gained a good level of artistic independence allowing them to perform publicly with their own, personal, creative project.

At the end of the two years, the student will have acquired a good practical basis for the profession of accompanist, with a wide knowledge of repertoire, allowing them to move with confidence towards their chosen area of specialisation (instrumental or vocal).
