Morgan Huet began his higher education in violin at the Rennes Conservatory while pursuing a bachelor's degree in musicology at the University of Rennes. He entered the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles in 2009 in Véronique Bogaerts' class and received a master's degree specialising in violin as well as an agrégation (teaching diploma) in 2013. He has been an active member of various youth orchestras (France (OFJ), Spain (JONDE), Finland (SIBA), Norway (Ungdommsymfonikerne), and continued his viola studies in Tony Nys' class until 2016, when he obtained a specialised master's degree with high distinction.
A member of the Alfama Quartet from 2015 to 2025 as a violist, he performs in quartets at many prestigious international venues and festivals, including Bozar, De Singel, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Philharmonie du Luxembourg, the Festival d'Ambronay, the Cité de la Musique, Flagey, the Musée d'Orsay, the Festival de Stavelot and the Opéra de Bordeaux. Following the success of their CD ‘Still Schubert’, released on the Cypres label and winner of an Octave de la musique award, the Alfama Quartet released a new album in February 2023, entitled ‘So Far So Close’, dedicated to Schumann and Mendelssohn and also including a new work by Patrick Leterme.
Morgan Huet is currently principal viola with the Flanders Symphony Orchestra (Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen) and is regularly invited to perform with orchestras such as the Wallonia Chamber Orchestra, the La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Opera of Liège Wallonia, the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra and the Brussels Philharmonic.
Morgan Huet teaches reading and transposition at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles and conducts the string orchestra of the Braine-l'Alleud Academy.
