After completing her studies at the National Taiwan University of Arts, where she obtained her Master's degree, soprano Wei-Lian Huang joined Marianne Pousseur's class at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles and then Dinah Bryant's class at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.
At the same time, she took masterclasses in vocal technique with soprano and teacher Judy Bellingham. In Europe, she participated in the Udo Reinemann International Masterclass and the Académie des Heures Romantiques for lied and melody interpretation under the direction of Christianne Stotijn with Anne-Sofie von Otter, Julius Drake, Valérie Guillorit, Dietrich Henschel, Markus Hadulla and Mitsuko Shirai.
She often collaborates with Scherzi Musicali (conducted by Nicolas Achten), with whom she has performed at numerous baroque music festivals in Europe. She has collaborated on several recordings by Scherzi Musicali, notably for Belgian composers: motets by J-N. Hamal, J-H. Fiocco, and C-J. Van Helmont. She has also collaborated on recordings by Italian composers, including motets by G.P. Colonna and works by G. Caccini and his daughters (Diapason d'Or, Choc de Classica and ICMA winner).
Wei-Lian Huang regularly participates in productions as a chorister with Vlaams Radiokoor and the Namur Chamber Choir in Belgium. She has had the opportunity to work with renowned conductors such as Leonardo Garcia Alarcon, Jean-Claude Malgoire, Edo de Waart, Guy van Waas, Christophe Rousset, Martyn Brabbins, and Hartmut Haenchen.
She has been teaching as an assistant at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles since 2020.
