Vincent Lamy


Biography

Vincent Lamy is a French-Belgian musician. He teaches organ and music theory at the Uccle Academy of Music and is assistant professor of music theory at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles. He also serves as organist in Brussels at both the Dominican Church and Saint-Albert Church in Schaerbeek.

He studied at the Conservatories of Dijon, Brussels, Mons and Amsterdam, earning degrees in organ, music theory, analysis, and composition. His principal teachers include Bernard Foccroulle (Brussels) and Pieter van Dijk (Amsterdam).

An eclectic performer, he appears regularly as a soloist or in ensembles (voice, violin, choir, orchestra) in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. He has performed at renowned festivals and venues such as the Bach en Combrailles Festival, the cathedrals of Brussels and Lille, the Grote Kerk in Alkmaar, and the Waalse Kerk in Amsterdam. He recently gave a complete recital of J.S. Bach’s Leipzig Chorales (BWV 651–668).
