Tamara Mozes is a singer, pianist, songwriter, and teacher. Her musical universe blends modern jazz, contemporary music, art pop, and improvisation. Based in Brussels, she divides her career between concerts, recordings, and teaching internationally.
Trained in classical piano at the Franz Liszt University in Budapest, she turned to voice and improvisation at an early age. She then continued her studies in France and Belgium: DEM in jazz singing and improvisation at the CRR in Paris, a master's degree in jazz and light music at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, and a master's degree in jazz singing and teaching at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles. This journey, nourished by three countries, has forged her artistic versatility and multicultural sensitivity.
On stage, Tamara Mozes performs at numerous European festivals and clubs, including: the Voicingers Festival in Paris, the Gaume Jazz Festival, the Ars Musica Festival, Jazzahead in Bremen, the International Jazz Festival in Kosice, the Opus Jazz Club in Budapest, the World Expo in Milan, the JFC Jazz Club in Saint Petersburg, as well as on Hungarian National Radio and on television in Davis, California, USA.
Her discography reflects her musical diversity: Sub Rosa (2025) and Futurized (2022) in duo with Zsolt Kaltenecker, Cross Folk (2020) and Moozing (2017) in solo piano-voice, Album of the Ear (2014) in quartet, as well as In Spring (2010).
Tamara Mozes has received numerous awards, including JazzMa's “Singer of the Year” title (2022), the Orszaczky Prize (2020), the SACEM Crest Jazz Vocal Prize (2016), the Grand Prix du Jury de Musique en courts de Sceaux (2010), the Golden Disc Critics' Award in Livorno (2008), as well as several composition grants from the NKA Foundation and the Hungarian government.
Alongside her performing career, Tamara Mozes is a committed teacher. Her teaching activities are rich and varied: she currently teaches at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles as an assistant in accompaniment and collective music practice, as well as at the Académie des Arts de Saint-Josse, where she gives jazz singing lessons, conducts vocal ensembles, and provides general training in jazz. She regularly participates in several international workshops, notably at Vocal FestJazz in Châteauneuf-du-Faou in Brittany and Crest Jazz Vocal in the South of France, as well as at the Schuman School of Music in Brussels. She is also the founder, teacher, and artistic director of the international Singing Space workshop in Budapest, created in 2020.
