Marie Datcharry began playing the piano at the age of six. She studied at the Bayonne Conservatory, then received valuable guidance from Jacques Rouvier in Paris, before joining the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles, where she obtained a Master's degree in Piano (classes of Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden and Dominique Cornil) and a Master's degree in Accompaniment (class of Philippe Riga).
She performs regularly in France (Pablo Casals Festival in Prades, Michel Plasson French Music Academy), Belgium (La Monnaie/De Munt, BOZAR and Flagey) and abroad (Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria and Japan).
Marie Datcharry is passionate about the vocal repertoire and is in demand as a rehearsal pianist for several productions : Iphigénie en Tauride, Carmen, Werther, Faust, L'Enfant et les sortilèges, La Voix Humaine, La Belle Hélène, Orphée aux enfers, Die Zauberflöte, La Bohème, Rigoletto, La Traviata, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, The Telephone, as well as the Requiems by Fauré and Mozart, Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, Dvorak's Stabat Mater, and J.S. Bach's St John Passion and St Matthew Passion.
Marie Datcharry is an accompanist at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles, in the singing department of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel alongside José Van Dam, Sophie Koch and Stéphane Degout, and performs regularly at La Monnaie/De Munt.
