Grégory Leonti

Biography

Born in 1985, Grégory Leonti began learning piano at the CRR in Toulon in René-Pierre Faedda's class before joining the CRR in Marseille, where he obtained the highest distinctions: first prize in piano by unanimous decision, first prize in chamber music, the Regional Council prize, and the special “Pierre Barbizet” prize.

He continued his training at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles in the class of Dominique Cornil and Sergei Leschenko, obtaining a specialized master's degree with high distinction and first prize in the “laureates' competition,” which enabled him to perform Prokofiev's Third Concerto with the Conservatory Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Philippe Gérard.

That same year, he was appointed choir director at CNIPAL in Marseille. This position allowed him to participate in numerous large-scale artistic projects and perform at several prestigious opera houses, notably in Bordeaux, Marseille, Avignon, Toulon, and Montpellier.

At the same time, Grégory Leonti performs regularly in France, Belgium (as a soloist with the Liège Philharmonic Orchestra) and abroad (Germany, Jordan).

Today, Grégory Leonti is an accompanist and assistant professor of sight-reading and transposition at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles.
