A hyperactive and multifaceted artist, Geoffrey Fiorese is as much a jazz pianist, improviser, composer and arranger as he is an electronic musician. In June 2017, he graduated with honours from the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel with a Master's degree and received the conservatory's first prize: Toots Thielemans Jazz Award, following a brilliant concert given with his big band for his final exam.
A born leader, he has headed numerous groups over the years (tentet, big band, quintet, etc.) and has built a solid reputation in the jazz world. In 2014, he won the XL Jazz Contest with his quintet. In 2018, he released his first album with his tentet, entitled ‘Dance, Blue Lady!’ on the German label QFTF.
At the head of ‘Terpsichore’, his Jarrett-influenced quartet, he released the eponymous album in 2021, which was then voted jazz revelation by Jazz Magazine.
Constantly seeking new musical horizons to explore, Geoffrey resumed his studies in 2021, this time in electronic music, at the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Antwerp. He now performs as a live coding artist. He works regularly as an arranger with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra and teaches jazz arrangement and harmony at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles.
