Thomas Vanin

Biography

Born in Cannes, Thomas began studying guitar at the age of six at the Conservatoire de Vence in the class of Jean-François Fabiani. He continued his studies at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental d’Antibes and the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Nice under the guidance of Pascal Polidori, graduating with top honors, a Gold Medal, and a scholarship that allowed him to pursue further studies at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles with Hugues Navez and Santiago Abadia Parada. This comprehensive training at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles enabled him to develop both his musical culture and instrumental technique. He was awarded two diplomas: the Specialized Master in Guitar and the Agrégation, both with the highest distinctions. He also participated in courses and masterclasses with renowned guitarists such as Frederic Zigante, Emmanuel Rossfelder, Eric Franceries, Laurent Blanquart, Oliver Chassain, Régis Castin, Pascal Parnet-Feugueur, and the lutenist Massimo Lonardi. A performer and pedagogue, Thomas currently teaches guitar and guitar ensemble at the Académie de musique de Braine-l’Alleud and is a lecturer in the guitar class at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles.
