Simon Leleux, a graduate in pedagogy from the IMEP conservatory and in Turkish percussion from the Rotterdam conservatory, is a student of darbuka and doholla master Levent Yildirim and has attended several masterclasses with frame drum master Zohar Fresco. Since the age of 10, he has trained in Oriental and Middle Eastern percussion with Azzedine Jazouli, Mahmoud Rezgaoui, Misirli Ahmet, Niti Ranjan Biswas, Pritam Singh, Alper Kekeç, Mustapha Antari, Zohar Fresco, and others. On stage, he plays or has played with groups and musicians such as: spëcht, Auster Loo, Lorenzo Gatto, Emre Gültekin/Vardan Hovanissian, Kudsi Erguner, Ghalia Benali, Auster Loo, Khalid Izri, Lâmekân Ensemble, Claire Spineux, Orbál, Surprises Du Chef and Sysmo.
