Trained to excel in the classical field but also in jazz and improvised music, the Belgian pianist Myriam Ayari draws her singularity from this assumed duality. This multi-skilling aspect leads her today to always push further the boundaries of her musical universe. As a student at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles, she perfected her skills with the internationally acclaimed pianist Dominique Cornil.
Honored by a government scholarship at the end of her studies, Myriam Ayari has been given the opportunity to enrich her technique and repertoire with the grand master Valentina Berman (spouse of the late famous pianist Lazar Berman) in Florence, Italy. After two years of intense studies, she flies back to Brussels, immediately completing several cycles of higher education at the same time, resulting in a Master's degree in piano accompaniment and a diploma in pedagogy. Alongside her debut on stage and her first steps in teaching, the musician also studies jazz along with renowned jazzmen such as Eric Legnini and Vincent Bruyninckx.
Established artist, off-road pianist, Myriam Ayari now leads a multi-faceted career, rich in numerous collaborations. Alternately accompanist, pedagogue, musical arranger, founding member of various ensembles – MNM Trio (6 hands, 1 piano) and Duo SchangAy (with violinist Ingrid Schang) – pianist for various projects with dance companies, theater etc..
