Graduated from the Académie de Musique de Bucarest in the class of Modest Iftinchi with the highest distinctions, Mira Glodeanu developed an early interest in early music. After meeting musicians such as Jordi Savall, Manfredo Kraemer, and William Christie, she came to Brussels to specialize with Sigiswald Kuijken. She has performed worldwide as a soloist and as concertmaster with numerous baroque orchestras, including Collegium Vocale in Gand, Les Agrémens in Namur, and Al Ayre Espagnol in Zaragoza. In 2008, together with Vincent Dumestre, she contributed to the founding of the orchestra Le Poème Harmonique, where she holds the position of concertmaster. Passionate about chamber music, she frequently performs alongside artists such as Christina Pluhar with L’Arpeggiata, Marcel Ponseele with Il Gardellino, and Jean Tubéry with La Fenice. In 1998, she founded the ensemble Ausonia with harpsichordist Frédérick Haas, with which she recorded the world premiere of the violin sonatas by F. Francoeur. After devoting a significant part of its activity to French music, notably with a recording dedicated to J Ph Rameau, the ensemble collaborated with the Ambronay editions on a complete recording of the sonatas for violin and obbligato harpsichord by J S Bach, as well as a recorded recital centered on German and Austrian music for solo violin by Bach, Biber, Pisendel, and Westhoff. From 2012 to 2015, she served as artistic director of the ensemble Philidor in Tours. In 2016, she began her collaboration with the Hitasura editions. This included the release of a recording of Bach concertos, followed in spring 2018 by a first recording dedicated to the Rosary Sonatas by Biber. A recognized pedagogue, Mira Glodeanu is professor of baroque violin at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles and regularly gives masterclasses in France, Spain, Romania, England, and Germany. She is a guest professor at the University of Salamanca.
