Grégory Deboulle

Biography

Grégory Deboulle was born in Namur, Belgium. He studied at the Conservatoires Royaux de Musique de Bruxelles and Mons with Jo Alfidi, Dominique Cornil, and Dalia Ouziel. Throughout his training, he had the great pleasure of being guided by Marie-Madeleine Delacroix and Aleksandar Madzar. He also participated in master classes given by renowned teachers, including Boyan Vodenitcharov and Andreas Staier. Interested in baroque music, he also studied harpsichord and basso continuo with Michaël Parisot and Raphaëlle Vançon.

He performs in a wide range of repertoire. His sensitivity naturally leads him towards the works of the Viennese classical composers and twentieth-century French literature. He has performed as a soloist with several ensembles, including the Orchestre de Chambre de Wallonie and the Orchestre Sturm und Klang. He regularly participates in the programming of major festivals in Belgium, such as Durbuy and Lasne, as well as abroad.

Passionate about chamber music since the beginning of his studies, he currently focuses on exploring this repertoire in various formations. He has had the opportunity to perform with many partners and regularly plays in piano duos, a formation he particularly enjoys.

Grégory Deboulle is frequently invited to accompany in musical competitions, including the Dexia Competition, the International Adolphe Sax Competition, the International Yamaha Foundation Competition in Berlin, and the International Baroque Singing Competition of Chimay. For several years, he has held teaching responsibilities in piano, chamber music, and piano accompaniment at the Académie de Musique de Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, and he is also a lecturer and tutor in piano pedagogy at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles.
