Antonio Segura is originally from Seville. He discovered the guitar at the age of eleven and studied with some of the greatest masters of flamenco such as Isidoro Carmona, Mario Escudero, Pedro Escalona and Rafael Moreno.
He composes and arranges music for the album of the group Macande and takes part in numerous international tours, collaborating with other musical cultures such as jazz and oriental music. He has been invited to major Belgian festivals including Fêtes de Gand, Couleur Café, Sfinx, Belga Jazz Festival at the Palais des Beaux Arts, Brussels Summer Festival, Fêtes de Wallonie, Francofolies de Spa, Jazz Marathon at the Grand Place, Big Festival in Bruxelles, Festival Flamenco Bozar and Antwerpen Guitar Festival. From 1992 to 1994, he studied at the Jazz Studio in Anvers, where he focused on harmony, music theory and musical arrangement. He has composed music for various theatre productions as well as for short films, documentaries and feature films. He has shared the stage with Leonardo Amuedo, Michel Hatzigeorgiu, Nicolas Fiszman, Sara Sanchez, Jose Rapico, Alaa Zouiten, Marwan Fakir, Camaron de Pitita, Sandip Banerjee, Juan Pablo Dobal, Nono Garcia, Chano Dominguez, François Garny, Bert Gielen, Manu Hermia, Jeroen Van Herzeele, Olivier Bodson, Adrien Verderamme, Olivier Colette, Rafael Habichuela, Ani Cali and Emilio Maya.
He has been teaching for more than 30 years at AKDT, Ecole de guitare flamenco La Bodega, IMEP Namur and Muziekpublique, and regularly leads masterclasses and workshops.
He is currently touring with his project OLEO with Serge Dacosse and François Taillefer and plans to release an album in 2023.
