Alain D'Ursel

Biography


His guiding thread has always been the body and movement, both in its scientific and artistic aspects and in its therapeutic and theatrical aspects.
After the Jacques Lecoq International Theatre School in Paris (1973 to 75), he began studying physical therapy.
Since 1982, he has been a practitioner and teacher of the Muscular Chains method of Mrs Godelieve Denys-Struyf.
He teaches (while learning) body awareness at the International Lassaad Theatre School in Brussels (since 1985).

Other training courses: the Mathias Alexander Method with Betty Langford and Traditional Chinese Medicine with Régis Blin.
He has participated and/or organized numerous training courses and intervened in various training courses in Belgium and abroad.

He collaborated for a few years with the European project Mus-E of the Yehudi Menuhin foundation (art in schools).
He recently participated in a week at the Cholet Conservatory in France: "My body, first instrument".
Initiator of the "Laboratoires d'Anatomie Poétique".
Currently, he is following a shiatsu training course where he participates as a teacher in the anatomy course.
