Edouard Degay Delpeuch holds a PhD in ethnology and social anthropology from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris (EHESS, Paris) and in political and social sciences from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He is generally interested in the cultural and social dynamics surrounding the production and circulation of music recordings. During his thesis, he worked on the independent music label scene in Thailand and the dynamics of crypto-colonial mimicry surrounding music production in relation to the West. He is currently interested in record labels from the Moroccan diaspora in Belgium, particularly the Fassiphone label, with which he works. At BaRR (Bachelor's degree in Rhythms and Rhythmics), Edouard Degay-Delpeuch supervises third-year students in the completion of their final projects.
