Early Music
Consort Class Concert
January 9 2027 14:00
Students from the early music section present the results of their work in consort classes. ‘Consort’ is a term used during the Renaissance to describe an ensemble of instruments from the same family but of different sizes – and therefore different ranges. Consorts comprising violas da gamba, violins, violones and recorders will perform polyphonic pieces from the Renaissance.
