LAPS Ensemble Concert

May 22 2026 19:00

LAPS, a young collective of Belgian musicians based in Liège, was born from the desire to create an original ensemble with variable geometry, combining amplified acoustic instruments with computers taken as musical instruments. The first idea manifests itself through a desire for gestural and expressive interactions, even chamber music between acoustic musicians and electronic performers. From then on, multiple aesthetic hybridizations can be grafted onto it where learned music dares to assert its solidarity with popular music, where the history of ideas is associated with the enjoyment of sensations. This concert will allow us to discover compositions for piano, bass clarinet and computer made for the occasion by composition students from the Conservatoires royaux de Belgique (Bruxelles, Liège, Mons) as well as creations by the professors for this set.
