Jan Novak was a Czechoslovakian composer and writer born in 1921 and died in 1984; he lived through the history of the 20th century in Eastern Europe and in exile in Denmark. He was posthumously rehabilitated by Vaclav Havel in 1996.
The pieces performed will mainly feature the flute.
