“To become a great champion, you have to believe you're the best, and if you're not, pretend you are. Mohamed Ali

The creative work was essentially based on excerpts from the testimonies of top athletes proposed by the students. The aim was first to extract the essential, then to define the dramaturgical scope, to draw meaning from it and gradually, as the exploration progressed, to find an obvious resonance with the actors as such, with the stage as a place of all possibilities, but above all as a place of necessity: the need to say, to be in the present, to find one's place, to explore one's limits and to surpass oneself. Despite doubts and failures, through perseverance and “victories”...

A theatrical journey punctuated by bodies, between confidences and raw fragments, between explosiveness and breathing, between uppercuts and stances.

Followed by

“Ervart ou les derniers jours de Frederic Nietzsche” by Hervé Blutsch, with excerpts from Nietzsche's work and students' personal writings
Exercise directed by Serge Demoulin
With : Tadzio Bouffardin, Leandro Ezio Caruso, Ossyane El hassouni, Clémentine Fargeas-Sichler, Pauline Livyns, Elliott Michel, Adele Paravano, Luca Ricottone, Lara Van Essche, Esther Waters

One man's madness sends the whole world reeling. Ervart's paranoia explodes in a society of aristocrats. The region and the country tremble, shockwaves rippling all the way to the theater stage, where everything goes haywire. Ervart believes himself to be a cuckold, suffering and enjoying it. He takes the country by storm, shattering all taboos.

Vaudeville? Tragi-comédie grand-guignolesque? Pataphysical theater? In this zany play with a message very much in tune with our contemporary world, which seeks truth even in the depths of its own shadow, we meet a bile-filled jealous, a mountain wife, an omniscient butler, a zoosexual secret agent, Nietzsche as a book-bomber, and an unemployed actress ready to play anything...

The students have seized on this text to propose an adaptation in which excerpts from Frédéric Nietzsche's work are interwoven with proposals for personal writing.

“I am not a man, I am dynamite”. Ecce Homo.
