“One night, I received a call from my mother. She told me on the phone that the man she was living with was drunk and insulting her. I advised her to leave, without delay. But how to live, and where, without money, without diplomas, without a driver's license, because you've spent your life raising children.”
Edouard Louis.

By visiting the work of Edouard Louis, Master's students take up a necessary and delicate question: How do you escape from a violent and toxic relationship?
Monique s'évade is a joint creation in which the group and its energy weave resilient solutions and dance together to create the camp of freedom.

Followed by

“Camarades du dessous de la terre” (Comrades from beneath the earth)
Collective creation based on the dramatic work by Jean-Pierre Siméon.

Exercise directed by Daphné D'Heur
With : Gaultier Bouret, Clément Dintilhac, Melvin Guerez, Alexandre Moxhet, Ambre Orban, Naomi Pecher, Maroussia Picq, Lili Sorgeloos Van Nieuwenhuyse.

There are eight of them. Eight young artists at the end of their studies, on the threshold of the world, their tongues on fire and their hearts in battle.
They rise, as one rises from a long silence, to make heard what is no longer said: the clamors, doubts, love, beauty, dreams and angers that today's too-smooth language struggles to name.
In this collective creation, poetry is neither decoration nor ornament.
It is a weapon, a breath, a necessity.
It is, as Jean-Pierre Siméon puts it, a vital matter that must be seized to make the untimely movement of thought heard.
Starting with Sermons Joyeux, Témoins à charge and Le Petit Ordinaire, the students take hold of a language that resists, that disrupts, that re-enchants reality.
On stage, Arsenâme a little eccentric, a little deranged, they become multiple beings: old children, lost souls, wandering stars, rebellious lovers, terrorists of the word, activists of the sensitive.
They sing, dance, rant and confide.
They caper about syntax, overturn clichés, cross words like irons, with insolence and jubilation.
And if they sometimes stumble, it's only to fall back into the living.
This creation is a feast. A serious and joyous celebration.
A party to shake souls and awaken consciences.
A party that looks you straight in the eye and says:
Courage, revolution is still possible.
