Concert Auguste Rouma, a little-known link of the Belgian violin school

May 20 2025 12:30

The theme of the concert is the Auguste Rouma collection, named after an important 19th-century Belgian violin pedagogue whose collection is held by the library and contains a goldmine of documents on the Franco-Belgian violin school from the late 18th to the late 19th century. Nicolas Wendenbaum, a student violinist at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, is doing his M2 internship on this collection.
