Concert in tribute to Maestros Ilse ALFONSO (1929-2017) and Nicolas ALFONSO (1913-2001). These virtuoso guitarists formed a legendary couple, both on stage and in private life. They were applauded on the greatest international stages and recorded numerous albums, both solo and as a duo. Renowned teachers, they opened the first guitar classes in the Music Academies of Belgium and, in 1965, with the support of H.M. Queen Elisabeth of Belgium, created the guitar class at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles (opened by Nicolas Alfonso), thus becoming the true founders of the Belgian School of Guitar.
