Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles: Renovation

After four years of studies by Beliris and the design offices Origin-A2RC-FVWWarchitecten, in close cooperation with the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles and the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, the application for planning permission for the restoration of the Brussels Conservatory has been submitted to the Brussels Capital Region. This application consists of 3 steps:

• Urban.brussels checks whether the application is complete.
• It analyses the application, including the opinions of the various administrations such as the emergency services, the Royal Commission for Monuments and Sites, etc.
  The City of Brussels organises the public enquiry and the consultation committee responsible for issuing an opinion on the file at the end of the public meeting.
• Urban.brussels decides to grant the permit (with or without conditions) or to refuse it.

In view of the time required for instruction, a decision by Urban.brussels is expected in the autumn of 2023. In the meantime, the studies detailing the project are continuing.
